Ethyl Palmitate is a white solid with the melting point 24.00 to 26.00 °C . @ 760.00 mm Hg and the melting point 192.00 to 193.00 °C . 10.00 mm Hg .Its self life is 24.00 month(s) or longer if stored properly. This product should be store in cool, dry place in tightly sealed containers, protected from heat and light. Although a higher apparent yield was obtained under the solvent-free preconditions due to higher substrate and enzyme concentrations.
Offered as 25 mg (sc-218412)
CAS Number: 628-97-7 (unlabeled)
Molecular Weight: 289.51
Molecular Formula: C18H31D5O2
Physical Appearance: Low Melting White Solid;Solubility: Soluble in Chloroform. The chemical reaction inward supercritical carbonic acid gas is better since of lower enzyme loading, higher reaction rates and easier downstream processing.
The esterification of palmitic acid with ethanol constituted investigated at various temperatures (3570 °C) in the presence of three lipases (Novozym 435, Lipolase 100T, and hog pancreas lipase) in supercritical carbon dioxide (SCCO2) and under solvent-free conditions. All enzymes showed an optimum temperature of 55 °carbon under both conditions. The effect of water and ethanol addition on the esterification of acid was also investigated. The conversion obtained in SCCO2 and under solvent-free conditions with Novozym at optimal conditions was 74 and 97%, respectively.
